Sonosyntactics, the title of the book captures has the caliber to capture the reader’s all attention at the very first glance.  The diversity and creativity of Paul are on full display in this work. The poet’s aptitude and love of the diverse forms come through fully and are aptly displayed for the reader.  Moreover, the unique writing style, rhyming scheme in some poems look quite enthralling. The random appearance of magnificent black and white sketches throughout the book can be seen involving a deep message behind causing the reader to read the poems with more curiosity.

yellow within

green thoughts

listening in white:

heave a cyan dye,

a shade, a shadow

gone beyond azure

in languor lingering

For over four decades, writer and musician Paul Dutton has steadfastly maintained his commitment to the integrated expression of the literary, the sonic, and the visual.
