Review by LB Sedlacek

In the introduction to this book, the author says “deprofundibulibus” means “an in depth look at the details” to her.  She goes on to write that it was her father’s favorite word coming from his use of the dictionary.

Waddicor states that her book is her own personal in depth look at life and its meaning.  It is written in poetry with some prose and quotes interspersed.

She has over 200 entries within these pages.  Each one is filled with curiosity and wonder.  She covers a variety of subjects such as education, philosophy, nature, art, geniuses and poets!

From 14 Mathematics What is it:

“Reduce our experience of the world to mathematics
we forget life
see numbers in place of colours and textures
leave the reality we know
immerse ourselves in a created reality
all is reality in life
just as all is mathematics - an abstract world

a world of the mind – culture”

She writes with an invaluable certainty.  Her writings show passion and complexity.  This book is a true experience with thoughts from the mind of Waddicor.

As you go through each page of the book, it is like unpeeling a layer of existence, explanation, and more.  She is not afraid to take her perceptions and theories and place them into her writings in her perspective.

My favorite part of her book was “32 Poets are they Normal?”  This prose piece asks since poets think they are different from others then does that give them the right to call themselves a poet.  This is a fascinating look at the world of being poetical and/or a poet.  Waddicor states that one doesn’t have to write poetry to be poetical because it can also show up in such things as a dance, a piece of music, etc.

This book creates a balance to creativity and a harmony at the same time.  It is imaginative, but also a life examining read.  She gives you so much to think about with every entry.

Her writing style is enchanting.  The book itself is quite different and a refreshing entry.

From 63 Poets to Save the World
“Perhaps it is the role of the poet, to save the world. A big thing but we have not been heard enough, and there are many, many poets, all wishing to aid the peoples of this wonderful globe to see and feel together, the joy and positive understanding of each other. That should be our aim in all its multi-varied languages and creeds, together, to make this existence the best we can for every individual on this earth.”

Poets and writers seem to think in a different way.  Waddicor is evidence of that which makes her book an inspiration.
