I started reading this book with an intrigue on the title.
What I will find in a poetry book called this way? Finally I opened the book and forgot all about this puzzling problem and started to enjoy the reading not without surprise.
It was totally different from what I could possibly imagine. I will be quite sincere with you, reader. I had my prejudices on a poetry book by a US citizen from New Jersey as I believed till today, this kind of poet will be something like an Ezra Pound. In fact, he is in some way an Ezra Pound but in a different style, a very personal one.
The poet has Thanks God and Holly Mary! A good English humor capable to make me smile many tines while reading. The book is amusing and fluent, natural, like one of those North American rivers full of tourists on canoes.
This author is a true US poet, a true 21 century US poet. In synthesis, a true talent, because talent is that fine art that makes a verse become a poem. When I finished the trip through his soul, I read about his life and torments and understood all the sense of humor around. I like this guy; he inspires me to travel really to the United States, probably to meet him in person. That will be a good trip indeed.
Listen, Chuck: (I feel I know you already from somewhere, after reading your soul) When are you to write a novel? Surely will be a best seller, ah?
